Staff Reporter: A complaint has been filed on social media Facebook from an ID named" Hamim Ferdous "for posting false, fabricated and purposeful misleading posts. According to the complaint source of the case, various types of statuses have been posted and shared in a status published from the said Facebook ID targeting the current Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.

The complainant claims that a group is sharing fabricated posts on social media to denigrate the successful Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in order to achieve political interests. The information published in the said status has no real match and is completely false, fictional and purposeful baseless information. The complainants believe that by spreading these baseless statements on social media, an attempt has been made to politically and socially humiliate the concerned persons and create confusion in the public mind. The complainants said that screenshots of the Facebook post related to the incident and other digital information have been saved. They have demanded that the matter be investigated and the real incident revealed and action be taken against the responsible netizen as per the prevailing law. Meanwhile, a case has been filed under the Digital Cyber ​​Act against netizen Ferdaus Ahmed at Moglabazar Police Station on charges of spreading misinformation against the Prime Minister on Facebook.

The investigating officer of the case told our correspondent that the accused in the case, " Hamim Ferdous " published all these posts on Facebook from a fake ID.
